Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s recent directorial hit, ‘Animal,’ has surpassed Sidharth Anand’s action film, ‘Pathaan.’ According to the Sacnilk box office report, the film collected Rs 4.07 crore in the last weekend of 2023. 'Animal' has now reached Rs 544.93 cores (nett) and currently holds the position of the second-highest grosser of 2023 after ‘Jawan.

‘Animal’ has emerged as a major box office sensation, capitalising on the holiday season by collecting Rs 4.07 crore in its



fifth weekend. The film surpassed Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathaan,' which had previously reached Rs 543.09 crore (nett) at the Indian box office.

The film has managed to sustain its presence in theatres despite the arrival of both ‘Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire’ and ‘Dunki’. However, ‘Jawan’ remains the next box office target for Ranbir Kapoor’s movie. It's a significant gap to bridge as Atlee’s directorial stands at Rs 640.25 crore (nett), almost Rs 95 crore ahead of ‘Animal’.
