Rani Mukerji's Mardaani 3 to release on Holi 2026, first look out

After keeping the fan on their toes for a long, the makers of Rani Mukerji’s next film, ‘Mardaani 3’ finally dropped the first look on April 21. The film is slated to release in theatres on Holi, February 27, 2026.

Touted to be more gripping and intriguing than the other two parts, ‘Mardaani 3’ will see Rani Mukerji reprise the role of a daredevil cop, Shivani Shivaji Roy, who selflessly fights for justice.

The first look showed Rani holding a gun in her hand as she pointed it towards the camera.

release. Holi, which falls on March 4th, symbolises the triumph of good over bad and the makers are pegging this film to be a bloody, violent clash between Shivani’s goodness vs sinister evil.

In 2024, Rani shared her excitement about the expansion of the film. “I’m truly proud of my 'Mardaani' franchise. It is a franchise that keeps on giving. The love, adulation, and respect that I have received from Mardaani is truly humbling. I’m looking forward to bringing back Shivani Shivaji Roy on the big screen soon. It’s been a while since I have donned the cop uniform and played tribute to the women police force of our country.”
