Ever since Ranveer Singh was announced as the lead of 'Don 3', fans have been excited to him in an action-packed avatar. And now the wait is over, as an industry source exclusively shared with India Today that the film's schedule is on track and it will go on floors in 2025.

While the pre-production work has kickstarted, the film will only go on floors next year, said the source and added, "Don 3 was always intended to get on the floors in 2025. The prep has been planned accordingly." Farhan, in earlier interviews, had confirmed that they wanted to announce the film beforehand as they didn't want fans to be disappointed by unnecessary

speculations.

Recent reports about Ranveer Singh taking a year-long paternity leave had raised questions about the film's future. Director Farhan Akhtar, in a interview, had also shared how he would start his next film as an actor in July, leading to more questions around 'Don 3'.

Directed by Farhan Akhtar, ‘Don 3’ promises to deliver another adrenaline-fuelled installment. While the original film featured Amitabh Bachchan, the earlier two films in the Excel Productions franchise starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. While the makers are confident about Ranveer taking up the mantle, a section of the audience did not shy away from voicing their displeasure.
