Paresh Rawal has been appointed as the Chief of National School of Drama. President Ram Nath Kovind appointed former Lok Sabha MP and actor Paresh Rawal as the NSD chief.
NSD authorities shared the news on the institute's Twitter handle. Their caption read, "We are glad to inform Hon’ble President of India @rashtrapatibhvn has appointed renowned actor & Padma Shri @sirpareshrawal as chairman of @nsd_india. NSD family welcome the legend to shower his guidance to NSD for achieving new heights.

MP Prahlad Singh Patel congratulated Paresh Rawal for his new role. He wrote, "Many actors of the nation will be benefited from Paresh's skills (sic)."
Ministry of Culture also congratulated Paresh Rawal on Twitter. Their caption read, "Heartiest congratulations to the renowned Indian film actor and National Award winner @SirPareshRawal for his appointment as the chairman of @nsd_india .
