Rohit Shetty film Singham Again opens at Rs 43 crore

Rohit Shetty had the perfect Diwali gift for fans - the next film of his cop universe, carrying forward the story of Ajay Devgn's Bajirao Singham with Singham Again. As expected from a festive release, he brought larger-than-life characters on-screen, bringing several actors together in a single frame. The result was fireworks, in the box office too, as the film saw great opening day collection.

Singham Again opened to a whopping Rs 43.50 crore on Day 1, according to early estimates. With that, Ajay Devgn gets the biggest opener of his career. Earlier, his best opening day number was from Singham



Returns, which earned Rs 32.09 crore in 2014. This also marks Rohit Shetty's biggest opener. However, it could not beat Stree 2's first day collection to become the biggest opener of 2024.

Singham Again clashed with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 at the box office and as predicted, both the films did well and made audiences step into the theatre. Though Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is lagging behind at Rs 35.50 crore, it still performed remarkably well at the box office, given recent films have not fared this well. However, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had more occupancy at 75.30 percent, compared to 65.35 percent for Singham Again.
