Salman Khan is still scheduled to appear in Kolkata. The actor will perform in the city between May and June, according to one of the show's organisers. Salman's Da-Bangg tour performance in January was postponed until April after being postponed at the last minute due to venue-related concerns. Yet Salman's performance in Kolkata was overshadowed by the reports of life threats he received via email.
According to certain sources, security issues would cause Chat Salman's Kolkata show, which also stars Sonakshi Sinha, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Ayush Sharma, and Guru Randhawa, to be cancelled.
However, the show's organisers maintain that the show will go ahead as planned.
“The show is happening in May-June and not in April.Salman Khan's team was here in Kolkata in November and December to fix all the nitty gritty of the
tour.On Monday I spoke to his team and the only problem they're facing is over Jacqueline Fernandez's date which we're working on.We will announce the date of the show very soon. The show will happen hopefully in one of the biggest playgrounds in Kolkata" said Rajdeep Chakraborty, one of the organisers of the show.
Salman's brother Sohail Khan and his personal security guard Shera visited Kolkata in November last year to inspect the security measures of the venue where the actor is scheduled to perform live.Salman has been recently provided with Y+ category security (an upgrade by two levels) after the perceived threat. "The West Bengal government and the top police authorities are helping us in all possible ways so that everything is in place. But we can't disclose the measures we will be taking for his security. All I can say is everything will be taken care of rightfully," Rajdeep said.
