Sanjay Dutt will be next seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in Prithviraj. While Akshay had finished his portion of the film, a few scenes of Sanjay were left to be shot before the makers could announce a shoot wrap. Recently, Sanjay Dutt wrapped up his portion in a 5-day schedule. In October 2020, the Munna Bhai MBBS actor revealed that he has beaten cancer. The actor was diagnosed with lung cancer in August last year.

Sanjay Dutt is playing a pivotal role in Akshay Kumar's historic drama Prithviraj, which is based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The film also stars Manushi Chhillar in the role of Sanyogita. While Akshay and Manushi had completed their portions of the film, some scenes of Sanjay Dutt

were left to be shot, which he completed in a 5-day schedule. Talking about the same, director Chandraprakash Dwivedi said, "With Sanjay Dutt, we had a very small portion of the shoot left to be completed. We wrapped the film with a 5-day shooting schedule with Sanjay Dutt. Given coronavirus and his health, of course, all possible precautions were taken to make the set a safe shooting space for him."

He added, "Sanjay is an extremely professional actor and we are delighted to have him in the film. We were all too worried about his health but the actor is a fighter and he has shown that nothing can keep him down. He has done a phenomenal job in Prithviraj and we can’t wait for the world to see him in the film.”
