Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Monday recorded his statement with the Bandra police in Mumbai. Bhansali arrived at Bandra police station to join the ongoing investigation in the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Bhansali, according to police sources, was questioned regarding the films he had offered to the late actor which didn't materialise further. Police officials asked Bhansali about how he knew Rajput and what was the reason behind the late actor not being able to work with him.
Bhansali arrived at the police station at around 12.30 pm and was accompanied by his lawyer and a few of his staffers. The
questioning went on for around three hours, after which Bhansali left with his lawyer and team members. He did not respond to media queries regarding Rajput or about the police's line of questioning. Bhansali left the police station at around 3.30 pm.
Sources claim that Rajput was under contract with another major production house when he was offered a film by Bhansali, which is why he couldn't work with the filmmaker. The film later turned out to be a blockbuster.
With Bhansali, around 30 people have recorded their statements until now in connection with the probe. Some people have been called multiple times.
