Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab 2 in works: Report

Following the success of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh starrer Udta Punjab (2016), it is believed that the makers are now planning a sequel. The new installment is believed to feature Shahid Kapoor reprising his role as the lead.

According to a report by Peeping Moon, Ektaa Kapoor is developing Udta Punjab



2 and has reportedly brought on Aakash Kaushik to write and direct the sequel.

An industry insider close to the development told the outlet that the sequel is currently in the writing phase, with production expected to begin next year. While casting decisions will be made once the script is finalised, Ektaa is keen on bringing Shahid back.
