Actor Shamita Shetty shared a video and revealed her battle with endometriosis after her surgery. She encouraged her followers to undergo regular checkups. The video featured the actor discussing the issue with her sister Shilpa Shetty, explaining the condition where tissue grows outside the uterus.
Shamita Shetty recently celebrated Mother’s Day with a trip to Kedarnath and Vaishno Devi with sister Shilpa and mother Sunanda. After their pilgrimage, the actor shared a video on Instagram and informed that she had been hospitalised.
The video begins with Shamita in a surgical cap, seated on the hospital bed, while Shilpa enquires about her health. Shamita
emphasises the importance of self-care for women, highlighting the lack of awareness surrounding such health concerns.
“All the women out there, please google endometriosis. You need to know what the problem is all about. Because you probably have it and you don’t even know you have it,” Shamita goes on to say in the clip. The former Bigg Boss contestant advised all women to search about endometriosis, suggesting many might have it unknowingly. Shilpa then asked Shamita if she had any last words before the surgery. Shamita shared that body pain serves a purpose, advising to “listen to your body.” Shilpa ended the clip with “Swasth raho mast raho” (Stay healthy, stay happy).
