After Sonakshi Sinha, her father and actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, slammed Mukesh Khanna for questioning her upbringing. Khanna, in a recent interview, expressed his anger over Sonakshi failing to answer a question about Lord Hanuman in Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) in 2019.
Sonakshi Sinha wrote a long note on her Instagram story, slamming Mukesh Khanna. Her father, Shatrughan Sinha, has now reacted to it. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, he said, "I believe someone has a problem with Sonakshi not answering a question on the Ramayan. Firstly what qualifies this person to
be an expert on all things to do with the Ramayan? And who has appointed him the guardian of the Hindu religion?"
Defending his daughter, Shatrughan said that not answering a question about Ramayana doesn't make Sonakshi a bad Hindu. "I am very proud of all my three children. Sonakshi became a star on her own. I never had to launch her career. She is a daughter any father would be proud to have. Not answering a question on the Ramayan doesn’t disqualify Sonakshi from being a good Hindu. She doesn’t need a certificate of approval from anyone," the 78-year-old actor said.
