Singer Shreya Ghoshal left fans swooning to her songs on the closing night of Sahitya AajTak 2024 in New Delhi.
She was joined on stage by Kinjal Chatterjee, 2010 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Bangla runner-up.
Despite the Delhi cold, Shreya set the mood with her soul-stirring tracks like Teri Ore from Singh Is Kinng and O Saathi Re from Omkara.
Other than her songs, the highlight of the evening was her singing an unreleased version of Pihu Bole from Parineeta. It was written from the perspective of Vidya Balan's character.
Shreya even expressed her gratitude and spoke about her bond with Gulzar. She shared how the veteran writer and lyricist still calls her 'bachua'.
Shreya also sang Manwa Lage from Happy New Year and Teri
Ore from Singh Is Kinng.
As the evening progressed, Shreya spoke about her equation with music composers, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. "Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy have always made wonderful music, and it's amazing to sing any compositions made by them," she said.
Shreya enthralled the fans with the popular song, Mere Dholna, which left the crowd hooting and clapping.
A sea of fans gathered to watch Shreya perform live. Needless to say, they sang along with her.
On a closing note, the singer mesmerised the audience by singing Lata Mangeshkar's evergreen song, Lag Ja Gale. She even thanked her fans for their unconditional love and expressed her happiness at being able to sing some songs that are usually not on her tour setlist.
