The 9th Khajuraho International Film Festival, dedicated to Sridevi, will be inaugurated with grandeur on December 16. The eight-day event, running until December 22, pays homage to the late superstar Sridevi.
The festival, dedicated to Sridevi, will recognise her significant contributions to Indian cinema, where she left an indelible mark with her versatile performances in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and numerous other films. The festival aims to showcase films from India and abroad and features curated sessions that
serve as a focal point of attraction for artists, filmmakers, and audiences alike.
Raja Bundela emphasised that Sridevi, who began her acting career at the age of 4, revolutionised Indian cinema with her innovative approach to acting. The festival is a tribute to her legacy, acknowledging her achievements and the honour bestowed upon her by the Indian government with the Padma Shri. Renowned actors such as Manish Badhava of 'Gadar 2' fame, Asrani, Gulshan Grover, Harish Bhimani, and Ali Khan, along with Pankaj Dheer, will be present at the festival.
