Mumbai: The makers of "Pathaan" announced on Thursday that the film's worldwide collection on day two reached Rs 219.6 crore. The film starred superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
On day two of its release, the film starring SRK and Deepika Padukone generated Rs 113.6 crore in worldwide gross, according to the production house Yash Raj Films (YRF). The film made Rs 106 crore on its opening day.
The film made Rs 70.5 crore on its second day of release, or 82.94 crore in gross, in the country. The Hindi version of the movie made Rs 68 crore in net
revenue, and the dubbed versions made Rs 2.5 crore more. On Wednesday, “Pathaan” was also released in Tamil and Telugu.
The film broke another record on day two by becoming the first Hindi film to surpass Rs 70 crore in single-day revenue.
The film grossed Rs 30.70 crore internationally.
After a hiatus of more than four years, the Siddharth Anand-directed film marks Shah Rukh's return to filmmaking after receiving calls for boycotts over the song "Besharam Rang." Zero, released in 2018, was his previous film.
