Sunny Deol announces 'Jaat 2' directed by Gopichand Malineni

After shattering records with ‘Jaat’, Sunny Deol on April 17 announced ‘Jaat 2.’ The film will be directed by Gopichand Malineni. The film, which marked Deol’s third-biggest hit of his career, has been greenlit for a sequel.

Sunny Deol unveiled the poster of 'Jaat 2' on Instagram and wrote, “#Jaat on to a New Mission! #Jaat2.”

The poster confirmed that Gopichand Malineni will return as director for the sequel. It also



highlights the names of producers Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Y, and TG Vishwa Prasad. The sequel will once again be backed by Mythri Movie Makers. While the full cast has yet to be announced, Sunny Deol is confirmed to reprise his role.

After seven days of its release, 'Jaat' stands at around Rs 57.50 crore nett. The film is expected to wrap up its extended eight-day week at around Rs 60 crore nett, which is a good total for any mid-budget film.
