Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’ is hands-down one of the most-awaited films. Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor has been roped in to play Ram while Sai Pallavi will be playing Sita. Now, it looks like the rest of the cast members are being finalised. Reports suggest that Sunny Deol will be playing the character of ‘Hanuman’ in the epic trilogy.
If reports are to be believed, then Sunny Deol seems to have been roped in for Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayan’. The actor, who recently delivered a blockbuster with ‘Gadar 2’, will reportedly be playing Hanuman.
According to a source quoted by Pinvilla, “Sunny Deol is all charged up to have gotten once in a lifetime opportunity to play Lord Hanuman. It’s a casting made in heaven, as Lord Hanuman stands for Strength, and who better than Sunny Deol in the present times to play the part with utmost conviction.” The report also mentions that Deol will start shooting for his part in the first part of the trilogy in May
2024.
The same report also mentions that Sunny Deol will have just a cameo appearance in the first part. However, the report also adds, “The second and third part of the epic trilogy will have his complete presence. The makers are confident that after Dara Singh, it’s Sunny Deol who would be synonymous with Lord Hanuman in modern times.”
“It’s a legacy part, and the teams are unfazed by the social media chatter. Ranbir has the utmost respect for Sunny Deol, and the latter considers Ranbir to be one of the finest actors of Indian Cinema. The dynamic shared by the two will be a treat for audiences on the big screen. The idea is to bring to the spectacle of a pure bond shared by Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman,” mentions the same report.
Reportedly, the cast will include Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. The makers are apparently also in talks with Vijay Sethupathi to play the part of Vibhishan.
