Taiwanese actor Barbie Hsu dies of pneumonia at 48

Taiwanese actor Barbie Hsu died due to pneumonia. Her sister confirmed to the local media on Monday about the death of 48-year-old Barbie. Barbie was the wife of popular South Korean singer and DJ Koon Jun Yup.

According to Korea Herald, Barbie died during her family trip to Japan over the Lunar New Year holiday. Her sister Dee Hsu spoke to the publication and said, "During the Lunar New Year,



our family came to Japan for vacation. My dearest sister, Barbie, has unfortunately left us after getting pneumonia triggered by influenza."

Barbie got married to Koon Jun Yup in 2022, after meeting each other at a concert in Taiwan. She was previously married to Wang Xiaofei, a Chinese entrepreneur, for 11 years. However, the couple divorced each other in 2021. Barbie is survived by two children.
