Tamil actor Suriya in talks to play the antagonist in Dhoom 4: Reports

Tamil actor Suriya is likely join the critically acclaimed Dhoom franchise. According to reports, he is reportedly in talks to play the antagonist in Dhoom 4. However, an official announcement regarding Dhoom 4 is still awaited. As of now, the makers haven't decided the lead cast and crew.

If Suriya agrees to the offer, then Dhoom 4 will be his second Hindi film. Though he appeared in a cameo role in Akshay Kumar and Sudha Kongara Prasad's Sarfira, his full-fledged debut will be in director Rakyesh Omprakash Mehra's untitled film. An official announcement is yet to be made.

Over the past few months, the chatter around Dhoom 4 has been growing louder and louder. Reportedly, Yash Raj Films (YRF) is planning to revive



the Dhoom franchise. The last Dhoom film, the third part, released in 2013 and the makers have finally decided that it's time for the fourth part.

If reports are to be believed, Aditya Chopra, Ayan Mukerji, Vijay Krishna Acharya and Sridhar Raghavan are reportedly working on the idea.

In a 2023-interview, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about Dhoom 4. "Not that I know of. If ‘Dhoom 4’ was being made, Adi [Chopra] would have told us. I can’t confirm or deny it, but I am pretty sure I would have been told if he is making one," he explained.

Suriya will be seen next in Tamil film, Kanguva, directed by Siva. The film will release in theatres later this year. The release date will be announced soon.
