Sony Pictures has announced that Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film will now be released on July 31, 2026, a week later than previously scheduled. The change moves the film two weeks after the release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which also features Holland.
Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is directing the currently
untitled Spider-Man 4.
Earlier, Matt Damon's first look from The Odyssey was unveiled on social media. The actor will be playing the role of Odysseus, the legendary Greek king of Ithaca. The film will follow his journey to return home following the Trojan War, his encounters with the cyclops Polyphemus, the Sirens, and the witch goddess Circe, and his reunion with his wife, Penelope.
