Tunisha Sharma passed away on December 24, 2022. The actress died by suicide on the set of her TV show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. She was 20. The actress' untimely demise left her mother devastated. Her colleagues and friends are unable to believe that the actress is no more. Filmmaker Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla, of the Abbas-Mustan duo, has also expressed sadness over Tunisha's death. He was present at the actress' final rites to pay his last respects. Tunisha's last film will be Abbas-Mustan's 3 Monkeys.

In an interview with IANS, Abbas Alibhai Burmawalla reacted to the news of Tunisha's demise. "It is very sad and disappointing news that at such a young age of 20 she took a drastic step

without thinking about her mother and others in the family. Today’s generation at certain times don’t think much, but taking such a step is never right," he said. The 3 Monkeys filmmaker further mentioned, "We worked with her in the movie and we cannot believe, having known her, that she could take such a step."

After Tunisha's death, her mother filed a complaint against the actress' ex-BF, Sheezan Khan, for abetment of suicide. When asked to comment on her family's action towards Khan, Abbas added, "What can her family say? They are going through a tough time. It is not easy for her mother to overcome the pain and we can just pray that God gives the family strength. May her soul rest in peace."
