TV actor Kanika Maheshwari to separate from husband Ankur after 11 years: Reports

Diya Aur Baat Hum actor Kanika Maheshwari is reportedly heading for a divorce from husband Ankur Ghai after 11 years of marriage. As per reports, the two will get legally divorced by 2024. The report further suggested that both Kanika and Ankur have been staying separately for four years.

Kanika Maheshwari, who is fondly remembered as Meenakshi Rathi in 'Diya Aur Baati Hum', got married to her college sweetheart, Ankur Ghar in 2012. After 11 years of their wedding, the two have decided to part ways. The two were blessed with a



baby boy in April 2015. As per reports by E-Times, they separated a while ago and filed for divorce three months back. The divorce is expected to be granted next year. A source close to the two told the leading daily, "Kanika has been living apart from her husband for the last four years. She and her eight-year-old son, Nanak, reside in Mumbai, while Ankur is based in Delhi. They did try to resolve their differences but couldn’t save their marriage. Apart from compatibility issues, the two also found it difficult to maintain a long-distance marriage.”
