There’s been a dearth of new films at the cinemas and so, the trend of re-releases has picked up all across the country. Shah Rukh Khan‘s 2004 film Veer Zaara too joined the list of films and re-released on September 13. In seven days of its re-release, the film earned Rs 1.57 crore nett, taking the film’s lifetime collection to Rs 100 crore worldwide. This



includes the film’s original collection from when it released back in 2004.

The film, re-released on 282 screens, opened to Rs 20 lakh on Friday, followed by Rs 32 lakh on Saturday, Rs 38 lakh on Sunday, Rs 20 lakh on Monday, Rs 18 lakh on Tuesday, Rs 15 lakh on Wednesday, and Rs 14 lakh on Thursday, according to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
