Vijay Sethupathi appeals to government to add Tamil in PAN website

Actor Vijay Sethupathi has urged the government to make PAN card-related information and updates available in Tamil, highlighting the need for better accessibility for non-Hindi and non-English speakers.

Speaking at a recent event, Sethupathi pointed out that PAN card details are currently provided only in Hindi and English, making it difficult for many Tamil speakers to access crucial updates. He emphasised that if the information were available in Tamil, it would reach a much wider



audience and prevent unnecessary confusion.

"People in Tamil Nadu often end up searching frantically for updates when they face a problem. This wouldn’t happen if the information was in a language they understood," he said.

The actor appealed for a more inclusive approach, calling for PAN-related updates to be available in multiple languages to ensure that all citizens, regardless of linguistic background, have easy access to essential financial information.
