Vikrant Massey's 'The Sabarmati Report' on 2002 Godhra incident to release on May 3

Vikrant Massey, who is basking in the success of his last film ‘12th Fail’, has announced his next. Titled ‘The Sabarmati Report’, the film will be about the unfortunate burning of the Sabarmati Express in Gujarat’s Godhra exactly 22 years back, on February 22, 2002.

Vikrant Massey announced the film with a short video. In the video, he plays a journalist, Shraban Kumar, who is breaking



the news of the Godhra incident. As he reads on the teleprompter that it was an accident, he fumbles and then sternly claims that it wasn’t any accident.

Sharing the teaser, he wrote, “Paying homage to the 59 innocent people who lost their lives in the Godhra train burning incident 22 years ago, today. Presenting ‘The Sabarmati Report’, in cinemas on 3rd May, 2024. (sic)”
