Actress-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna left her childhood friend and filmmaker Karan Johar shocked when she abruptly asked him the full form of MNS at the launch of her new book.
The "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" helmer was hosting the launch of "The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad," which is the second book by Twinkle. For reading one of the chapters from the book, Johar invited Alia Bhatt on stage and while introducing her mentioned the infamous incident where she goofed up the name of President of India.
Twinkle looked at Johar and said, "I want to interrupt. Since he has asked you (Alia) 'who is the president?', I want to ask you something. So please tell me, what is the full form of MNS."
To which Johar jokingly replied, "I know what PMS is, that is what I am going through right now." "See he did not know. Just rest easy," Twinkle quipped. The filmmaker went

on to say that he wants to stay away from making any political statements.
"I don't want to say anything politically correct or politically incorrect. I want to be silent, that is my stance these days. It is possible I am maintaining a low profile." When the audience burst into a laughter, he quipped, "That was not meant to be a joke."
Johar's latest release starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan faced protest from Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sen, who threatened to halt the screening of the film as it featured the Pakistani actor.
Apart from Alia, veteran actress Shabana Azmi and Ranbir Kapoor also read chapters from the book.Twinkle's husband, Akshay Kumar, along with mother Dimple Kapadia, filmmakers R Balki, Homi Adjani and actress Sonali Bendre were also present.
