The Kerala Story has left the audience divided. While the film has been performing well at the box-office and have amassed support from several, many have bashed the film claiming that it reeks of propaganda. Some have even asked for the film’s ban. Theatre owners in Tamil Nadu have stopped the screening of the film in several cinemas. Amidst all this, West Bengal CM, Mamata Banerjee put a ban on the film to 'maintain peace in Bengal' and
avoid any incident of hate crime and violence. Now, producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has reacted to the decision.
Vipul Amrutlal Shah has now reacted to the ban on his film, The Kerala Story, in West Bengal. Talking about it and about theatre owners in Tamil Nadu stopping the screening, he told ANI, “If that is what she has done, we will take legal action. Whatever is possible under the provisions of law, we will fight.”
