The Yellowstone International Film Festival (YIFF) began on October 22, 2023, at the DLF Cyberpark in Gurugram. The festival kicked off with a red carpet event featuring notable personalities such as Bani J, Amit Sadh, Deepak Kalra, and Siddharth Chauhan, among others.

With 2891 submissions from 135 countries, this year's festival received an overwhelming response. After a meticulous selection process, 146 films from various genres and origins were chosen to be part of the official selection.

YIFF is taking a hybrid approach this year, spreading its cinematic magic across multiple venues in New Delhi, including the Australian Embassy, American Center, Siri Fort Auditorium, Pacific Mall Jasola, and the digital space. The festival promises to run until October 27, 2023, offering a diverse selection of films to captivate audiences.

The festival's opening night featured the premiere of 'Amar Colony,' a multi-award-winning film directed by Siddharth Chauhan. Starring Sangeeta Aggarwal, Nimisha Nair, Ayush Shrivastava, the film was followed by two shorts: 'Tits' by Eivind Landsvik and 'The Broken Table' by Chintan Sarda, featuring



stellar performances by Naseeruddin Shah and Rasika Dugal.

YIFF also boasts the Indian premiere of the Cannes Palme D'or-nominated 'Tits,' and the North Indian premiere of 'The Broken Table.' The festival will also host the Asian premiere of the Academy Award-winning comedy feature 'The Nana Project' directed by Robin Givens. Additionally, there's a screening of 'Rare,' a thrilling short film featuring Piyush Mishra, and 'The Group (Balgam)' starring Priydarshi Pulikonda and Kavya Kalyanram, directed by Venu Yeldandi.

Apart from showcasing global cinema, YIFF recognised exceptional talent and presented awards in various categories. Bani J received the Outstanding Performance in a Series Award for 'Four More Shots Please,' and Amit Sadh received the Outstanding Performance in a Recurring Role Award for 'Breathe Into The Shadows.' Deepak Kalra was honored with the Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role (Feature Film) award for 'Gumrah.' Siddharth Chauhan received the Achievement in Film Direction (Feature) award for 'Amar Colony.' The outstanding supporting roles in 'Amar Colony' were acknowledged with awards for Sangeeta Agarwal and Ayush Shrivastava.
