Mumbai: Venkatesh, a fan of Sonu Sood, recently walked barefoot from Hyderabad to Mumbai to meet the Bollywood actor. The ‘Dabangg’ star said that he tried to arrange transportation for Venkatesh but the young boy decided to walk over 700 kms to visit him. Sonu took to social media to share a picture with his fan and said that he is humbled with his gesture.

The ‘Simmba’ actor also requested his followers to avoid taking troubles for meeting him. He reiterated that he didn’t wish to encourage anyone to do such things for him.

“Venkatesh, walked barefoot all the way from Hyd to Mumbai to meet me, despite me making efforts to arrange some sort of transportation for him. He is truly inspiring & has immensely humbled me. Plz. I, however, don’t want to encourage anyone to take the trouble of doing this,” Sood said.  The young boy can be seen smiling while posing with the

actor.

Sonu, who emerged as a messiah for the migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, is working around the clock to help the needy amid the pandemic. From airlifting patients to providing medical support, Sood has been relentlessly providing assistance to people, who have been affected by Coronavirus.

The ‘R Rajkumar’ actor, while talking to a news agency, confirmed that he would set up oxygen plants in over 16 states. He revealed that the O2 pants would be set up near the hospitals so that they don't face shortage of oxygen during emergency.

“The oxygen plants will be set up near the needy hospitals which will have almost 150-200 beds. All these hospitals will never have shortage. The patients have to sometimes travel far to reach the hospitals and in some cases, they lose their lives as well. With this, I hope, such situation will never arise,” Sonu told.
