New Delhi: India and the United States are working on a pact that will exempt certain categories of Indians, like former Presidents, Prime Ministers and other “high dignitaries”, big industrialists and some filmstars, from immigration checks in America.
The problem of frisking had
earlier been experienced when late president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam had visited the US and even during the visits of some other celebrities.
In this context, names of former president Pratibha Patil, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh filmstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan found mention.
