Popular film Producer, Director and screenwriter Rajkumar Hirani was given the National Kishore Kumar Award in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh yesterday on the occasion of 37th death anniversary of renowned singer and actor Kishore Kumar.

Khandwa is the birthplace of Kishore Kumar. MP Government’s Cabinet Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah gave away this national



award.

The award is given every year to an eminent artist by the Directorate of Culture, Madhya Pradesh Government from 1997. Many famous Bollywood actors, writers, and producer-directors have received this award till date.

Before award ceremony, Mr Hirani reached the Samadhi of Kishore Kumar and paid tribute to him.
