Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan charmed the crowd at the TED conference on Thursday, April 27 in Vancouver, Canada. In his address to the audience, which was laced with his witty one-liners, the Bollywood superstar said that he sells dreams and love to millions around the world.
SRK became the first Bollywood actor to deliver a speech at TED Talks. The 51-year-old actor said love is the simplest yet oldest emotion known to mankind. "I've learned that whatever moves you, whatever urges you to create, build, whatever keeps you from failing, whatever helps you survive, is perhaps the oldest and the simplest emotion known to mankind, and that is love," Press Trust of India (PTI) quoted Shah Rukh as saying.
He also compared his "ageing" movie star persona to humanity. "Humanity is a lot like me. It's an ageing movie star, grappling with all the newness around it, wondering whether it got it right in the first place and still

trying to find a way to keep on shining regardless," he added.

Thank u @TEDTalks @TEDchris @julietrblake for a wonderful time. All who came to lov me in Vancouver…my lov 2 u.

The audience also roared with laughter when SRK entertained them by performing on his popular song Lungi Dance from the film Chennai Express.
His talks on the big-idea-sharing event comes a few months before a version of the TED Talks makes its television debut in India, where the Raees actor will play the role of curator Chris Anderson.
TED curator Anderson described TED Talks India as the organisation's most ambitious television project. "The country is teeming with imagination and innovation. We believe this series will tap into that spirit and bring insight and inspiration to many new minds," Anderson said in a blog post.
