New Delhi: Amy Jackson might have started her Bollywood career with romantic film "Ekk Deewana Tha" but the actress says she always wanted to do action based roles.
The British model-actress said "Singh Is Bliing" came to her as a big opportunity. "I really wanted to play an action heroine, because I think in Bollywood we don't see many actresses doing it. 'Singh Is Bliing' came up to me as my dream role," she said during the promotion of the film here.
However, Amy, 23, does not want to stick to action only, as she understands the importance of song and dance routine in Indian film industry.
"Action was something I really wanted to do and will continue doing it in future as well, but at the same time I know dancing and songs are huge part of Bollywood and it will be my top priority to excel in that."
The actress, who replaced Kriti Sanon in Prabhudheva's
directorial venture, is in complete awe of her co-star Akshay Kumar and wants to work with him in the future as well.
"Akshay has been a great co-star. He is serious for work but at the same time very fun to work with. I would love to work with him more in future. He has helped me a lot as far as my acting and action parts were concerned."
Also starring Lara Dutta in a pivotal role, "Singh Is Bliing" will hit the theaters this Friday.
The "I" actress was away from Hindi film industry for a while, but is now open for challenging roles which she can do justice to. "As a performer I want to push my boundaries and try different roles. I am open to any good script and the character I can do justice to," she said.
Amy, who made her acting debut with Tamil film "Madrasapattinam", is still going strong down South. She has three more Tamil projects slated for release.
