The World Audio-Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is offering a unique opportunity to celebrate and showcase creativity in both digital and hand-painted art forms by organizing a Film Poster Making Competition. A total of 296 registrations have already been made for this competition. Registrations will close on the 5th of March. There is no fee for participation, and participants can register and submit their artwork through the provided link on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting website.
The Film Poster Making Competition will be held in two categories that are Digital Posters and Hand-Painted Posters. The Film Poster Making Competition will be held in two categories Digital posters and Handpainted posters. Outstanding digital posters will be recognized, with the top 20 selected artworks showcased at the WAVES Summit. Out of these 20, the top 3 will receive prestigious awards. Cash prizes and digital certificates of appreciation will be awarded. Registrations for the Digital Poster category will remain open until the 15th of March.
A total of 25 selected artists will compete in a live event, chosen through a juried selection from all submitted entries. These artists will create hand-painted posters within a set time
frame at the WAVES Summit, with the top three artworks receiving prestigious awards. The awards include a First Prize of 50 thousand rupees, a Second Prize of 30 thousand rupees, and a Third Prize of 10 thousand rupees, along with certificates for the top three winners. Additionally, a Digital Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded to the remaining participants, along with their respective cash prizes.
Through this platform, artists from around the world can connect, create, and be part of the vibrant future of the entertainment industry, culminating in a prestigious exhibition and award ceremony at the WAVES Summit in May 2025.
As part of the inaugural WAVES is also inviting participants under the Comic Chronicles challenge to craft and present AI-generated comics through Dashtoon Studio, showcasing their stories on the Dashtoon mobile app. The WAVES Comic Chronicles is part of the Digital Media and Innovation pillar, which delves into the dynamic digital landscape, exploring emerging trends and technologies, the evolving app economy, and the growing influence of social media and influencer marketing. The registrations for this challenge will close on the 15th of March.
