1,50,000 health and wellness centers operationalised across the country

New Delhi: One lakh fifty thousand health and wellness centers have been operationalised across the country. Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya termed it a milestone in the journey of Antyodaya.

He said, earlier, the Narendra Modi government has set a target to start one lakh 50 thousand health and wellness centers in the country by the end of this year, which has been achieved.

He expressed confidence that these centers will strengthen the primary



health facility for people.

The Minister said, with this, people living in far-flung areas will also be able to get facilities like various types of testing and teleconsultation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the achievement of the target of 1.5 Lakh Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness  Centers will infuse fresh energy in New India. In a tweet, Mr Modi said India's prosperity lies in healthy citizens.
