AIIMS New Delhi starts country’s first smart lab in its OPD block to provide test facilities under one roof

India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) New Delhi has started the country’s first smart lab in its OPD block to provide test facilities under one roof. This facility is seamlessly integrated, offering a wide range of laboratory testing services including hematology, biochemistry, coagulation, serology, endocrinology, and various



immunoassays.

Additional professor of Laboratory medicine AIIMS Delhi, Dr. Sudip Kumar Datta said the smart lab of AIIMS gets the report of 90 percent on the same day the sample is received. He added that this initiative is at the forefront of technological advancements, functioning as a completely paperless facility.
