New Delhi: Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) has crossed the landmark of 20 crores digitally linked health records. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed it yesterday in a tweet and termed it as another significant milestone achieved by the new India. He said that the Narendra Modi government is leaving no stone unturned towards strengthening the digital healthcare ecosystem in the
country.
Under the ABDM, citizens can create their ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) numbers, to which their digital health records get linked. This enables the creation of longitudinal health records for individuals across various healthcare providers and improves clinical decision-making by the healthcare providers.
It was launched in September 2021 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
