In Gujarat, the total number of Covid-19 positive cases crossed the 4000 mark with 308 cases reported in the state on Wednesday.
Out of the fresh 308 cases, 234 cases were reported from Ahmedabad alone. As many as 93 patients were discharged from 11 districts on Wednesday which is the highest number of discharges in a day so far.
Of the total discharges reported on Wednesday, 22 were from Ahmedabad, 20 from Surat and 29 from Vadodara.

Dr Jayanti Ravi said the rise in the recovery rate is a welcoming sign. She said Porbandar, Jamnagar, and Morbi districts do not any active cases at present.
So far, Amreli, Junagadh and Devbhoomi Dwaraka are the three districts that are not yet affected by Covid 19. Ahmedabad remains the worst-hit district with a total of 2777 cases and 137 deaths.
Meanwhile, the government announced to procure Tur dal at Minimum Support Price from 1st May. CM Vijay Rupani directed all district collectors to ensure the resumption of MNREGA works and construction activity under PMAY in their district.
