In Odisha, COVID-19 active caseload is fast approaching the one lakh mark. While the state reported 10635 fresh cases, 8541 patients have also recovered from the infection during the last 24 hours.
The state, on an average, has been adding about three thousand new cases to its active caseload daily for the last couple of days. After factoring in those who are recovering from the infection, the state's active case count has already crossed 93 thousand.
On the other hand,
the state government has opened help-desks with helpline numbers in all the major hospitals and district headquarter hospitals to share information about patients undergoing treatment for covid-19 with their dear ones.
Meanwhile, in order to address food scarcity among the stray cattle and dogs, especially during the ongoing lock down, an amount of 60 lakh rupees has been sanctioned from the Chief Minister's relief fund for the urban local bodies in the state.
