1,081 new Covid cases in J&K, tally crosses 74K mark

J&K reported 1,081 new cases – 640 from Jammu division and 441 from Kashmir Valley – on Tuesday taking the coronavirus tally to 74,095, even as 18 deaths were reported in the UT in the last 24 hours.

Eleven people succumbed to virus in Jammu division, while seven patients died in Kashmir province.

Jammu division and 635 from Kashmir – were discharged from various hospitals across the Union Territory on Tuesday after being cured of the infection.

According to the official bulletin issued on Tuesday evening, out of 74,095 cases, 17,414  are active positive, 55,517 have recovered and 1,164 – 331 in Jammu division and 833 in Kashmir province – have died.
