In West Bengal, 12 fresh COVID 19 positive cases have been reported in last 48 hours. Giving this information in Kolkata yesterday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that with these fresh cases, the total number of positive patients has gone up to 61 in the state so far. She said that 13 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
The Chief Minister also informed that the West Bengal Government has decided to set up
a Global Advisory Board for making policies regarding revival of State’s economy in the post COVID period. Nobel laureate Avijit Vinayak Banerjee will lead the Advisory Board. The Chief Minister assured that there is no reason for panic as there is enough stock of food grains in the state. Ms. Banerjee also directed the administration to take necessary preventive measures to deal with the Dengue.
