1,213 new Covid cases detected in Telangana

Telangana recorded 1213 Covid-19 new infections and eight fatalities on Thursday, which pushed the fatality toll to 275 and the total positive cases to 18,570. In the last 24 hours, 998 Covid-19 positive cases have been reported from areas under GHMC, pushing the cumulative positive cases in the State Capital to 14,420.

The 1,213 positive cases in Telangana and 998 positive cases in Hyderabad are single largest one-day surge of Covid positive cases since the outbreak of



the pandemic.

According to the health bulletin, 987 persons were discharged on Thursday which has taken the number of recoveries to 9069. The number of active cases Covid-19 infections has now risen to 9226.

In the last 24 hours, authorities tested 5356 samples out of which 4143 have tested negative while 1213 tested positive. Cumulatively, Telangana has conducted 98153 tests out of which 79583 tested negative while 18, 570 have tested positive .
