123 new Covid-19 cases reported in Puducherry

In Puducherry union territory,  out of 2,420 people affected by coronavirus infection, 1400 have been discharged after recovery so far. Health Director Dr Mohan Kumar gave this information. 

According to the COVID-19 status report given by the health department yesterday, 123 new persons were tested positive for the Corona Virus Disease. Out of 123 new cases, 119 cases



were reported in Puducherry region, 3 in Karaikal and 1 in Yanam. 2 persons died at the government medical college last night.

As many as 31 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours.

So far, 2420 persons were infected by the virus of which 1400 were treated and discharged, 33 (1.36%) died leaving 987 active cases in hospitals.
