Telangana has reported 1286 new Covid-19 infections and 12 fatalities on Monday which has taken the overall fatality toll to 563 and the cumulative number of positive cases in the State to 68,946.

The State reached a significant milestone in terms of Covid-19 testing with authorities managing to complete five lakh Covid-19 tests, since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Between Sunday and Monday, health department conducted 13,787 Covid-19 tests, taking the overall number of samples tested so far to 5, 01, 025, while results of 919 more swab samples are still pending.

As many as 1066 persons have recovered by Monday night, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 49, 675 with a recovery rate of 72 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 65.77 per cent.

At present, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in the State is 18,



708 out of which 11, 935 persons are under home isolation.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from districts include nine from Adilabad, 38 from Bhadradri, 391 from areas under GHMC, 22 from Jagtiyal, eight from Jangaon, six from Bhupalapally, 55 from Gadwal, six from Kamareddy, 101 from Karimnagar, 41 from Khammam, three from Komarambheem Asifabad, 39 from Mahabubnagar, 27  from Mahabubabad, 21 from Mancherial, seven from Medak, 72 from Medchal Malkajgiri, five from Mulugu, 29 from Nagarkurnool, 29 from Nalgonda, four from Narayanpet, four from Nirmal, 59 from Nizamabad, 59 from Peddapally, zero from Siricilla, 121  from Rangareddy, 15  from Sangareddy, 14 from Siddipet, 23 from Suryapet, 17 from Vikarabad, 14 from Wanaparthy, 11 from Warangal Rural, 63 from Warangal Urban and three positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
