1,456 new Covid-19 cases reported in Telangana

In Telangana, 1,456 new cases of COVID -19 were reported during the past 24 hours. With this, the total number of COVID cases in the state went up to two lakh 27 thousand 580. The state conducted over 38 thousand tests yesterday. The recovery rate also slightly improved to 90.56 per cent with 1,717 more people recovering yesterday. This took the number of recovered people so far in the state to two lakh six thousand 105.

 

The daily bulletin issued by the State Medical and Health Department stated that total deaths rose to 1,292 following death



of five people due to COVID and comorbidities during the past 24 hours. Currently, the state has little over 20 thousand active cases out of which about 16 thousand 977 are in home isolation.

 

Meanwhile, 254 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Hyderabad while Medchal Malkajgiri and Rangareddy reported 98 cases each. Khammam and Nalgonda besides Intense COVID districts like Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Sangareddi, Siddipet and Warangal Urban districts also reported around 50 cases each during the past 24 hours.
