1,539 new Covid-19 cases reported in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 1,539 new Covid-19 infections and five fatalities on Wednesday, taking the overall toll to 1,362 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,45,682. As on Wednesday, there were 18,656 active cases in the State.

A total of 978 persons recovered on Wednesday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,25,664 with a recovery rate of 91.85 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 92.2 per cent.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 44,327 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 555 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 44,84,183 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State.

include 14 from Adilabad, 82 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 285 from areas under the GHMC, 45 from Jagtiyal, 22 from Jangaon, 12 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 13 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 36 from Kamareddy, 86 from Karimnagar, 78 from Khammam, four from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 43 from Mahabubnagar, 21 from Mahabubabad, 33 from Mancherial, 23 from Medak, 102 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 32 from Mulugu, 33 from Nagarkurnool, 69 from Nalgonda, one from Narayanpet, 20 from Nirmal, 37 from Nizamabad, 39 from Peddapally, 33 from Rajanna Siricilla, 123 from Rangareddy, 40 from Sangareddy, 38 from Siddipet, 52 from Suryapet, 12 from Vikarabad, 13 from Wanaparthy, 29 from Warangal Rural, 46 from Warangal Urban and 23 from Yadadri Bhongir.
