16 new Covid-19 cases in Telangana State

Telangana on Friday recorded 16 Covid-19 positive cases with no deaths to report. With this, the total number of positive cases went up to 487.

At present, there are 430 active Covid-19 positive patients who are undergoing treatment in government hospitals while 45 persons have completely recovered and been discharged. So far, 12 persons have died of Covid-19 in the State.

After the detection of the Markaz cluster which saw a spike in the number of coronavirus cases, the number of cases showed a decline from Thursday, when 18 new cases were reported.

According to health officials, barring one positive patient, who is on ventilator



support at Gandhi Hospital, the remaining 429 positive persons are in stable condition. All the active coronavirus patients are admitted to Gandhi Hospital, Fever Hospital and King Koti area hospital.

Hyderabad recorded 12 more positive cases on Friday taking the overall number of persons who have tested positive for Covid-19 to 200. Of these, 21 persons have recovered while the rest are under treatment at Gandhi Hospital.

In terms of number of cases, Hyderabad is followed by Nizamabad with 49 coronavirus cases. On the city outskirts, Rangareddy district has 27 cases while Medchal reported 21.
