In Madhya Pradesh, the coronavirus case count reached 10 thousand 808 with 161 new patients coming up in the last 24 hours.

Four COVID-19 patients died during this period, taking the death toll to 459.

The number of cases in Indore, the worst-hit district in the state, rose to 4 thousand 63.

The state capital has so far reported 2 thousand 195 COVID-19 patients.

The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan instructed that full help of the community should be taken to prevent spread of coronavirus infection in the state and directed the Health department to prepare an effective system in this matter.

department has proposed to rope in volunteers as 'Covid Mitra' to help the government in containing the spread of coronavirus in the state. The 'Covid Mitra' will be equipped with an oximeter to check the oxygen levels of people. Any healthy individual up to 45 years of age, or a social/voluntary organisation in an urban area can be made Covid Mitra'.

The Health department also proposed to develop a 'Sarthak Light' app for people to get information about the nearest COVID-19 treatment facility and sample collection centre and seek help. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked health officials to take help from citizens to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the state.
