Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1,682 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities on Monday taking the overall toll to 711 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 93,937. The total active cases as on Monday night in Telangana was 21,024.
As many as 2,070 persons in the State have recovered between Sunday and Monday night, which has pushed the overall number of recoveries in the State to 72,202 with a recovery rate of 76.86 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 72.51 per cent. According to the health bulletin, the mortality in the State is 0.75 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.92 per cent.
Out of the 21,024 active Covid positive patients, as many as 14, 140 Covid-19 positive patients were under home isolation across the State while 6,884 positive cases were in institutional care.
The health authorities have conducted 19, 579 Covid-19 tests on Monday and test results of 560 more swab samples were
pending. So far, 7, 72, 928 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 93, 937 have tested positive and 72, 202 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported the districts include 18 from Adilabad, 27 from Bhadradri, 235 from areas under GHMC, 59 from Jagtiyal, 32 from Jangaon, 19 from Bhupalapally, 69 from Gadwal, 44 from Kamareddy, 88 from Karimnagar, 45 from Khammam, nine from Komarambheem Asifabad, 32 from Mahabubnagar, 13 from Mahabubabad, 79 from Mancherial, 36 from Medak, 106 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 17 Mulugu, 30 from Nagarkurnool, 38 from Nalgonda, 11 from Narayanpet, 27 from Nirmal, 94 from Nizamabad, 59 from Peddapally, 47 from Siricilla, 166 from Rangareddy, 18 from Sangareddy, 47 from Siddipet, 39 from Suryapet, seven from Vikarabad, 23 from Wanaparthy, 20 from Warangal Rural, 107 from Warangal Urban and 21 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
