Himachal Pradesh has witnessed sharp increase in number of corona cases yesterday. 18 cases were recorded during the past 24 hours. Out of these, 13 cases were reported from Kangra, 4 in Mandi and 1 in Kullu districts. Most of these patients had returned to the state from Mumbai, recently.
The continued surge in the number of cases are being seen due to the arrival of residents from various parts of the country. The maximum number of active cases are from
Kangra district followed by Hamirpur. Total active cases in state is 53, so far. However, 50 patients have been cured. Total number of patients tested positive till date are 110.
Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said stranded people arriving from various parts of the country are being sent to home quarantine. He said that members of Panchayati Raj Institutions must ensure that they do not jump home quarantine.
