Telangana has recorded 1897 new Covid-19 infections and nine fatalities on Tuesday, taking the overall toll to 654 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 84,544. The total number of active cases as on Tuesday night in the State is 22,596.
Between Monday and Tuesday, 1920 persons had recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 61,294 with a recovery rate of 72.49 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate is at 69.79 per cent. According to the health bulletin, the mortality in the State is 0.71 per cent while the countrywide figure is 1.99 per cent.
Out of the 22,596 active Covid positive patients, as many as 15, 534 Covid-19 positive patients are under home isolation across the State while 7, 062 positive cases are in institutional care. About 84 per cent of the positive patients in the State, who are recovering in home-isolation, are asymptomatic.
The health authorities conducted 22, 972 Covid-19 tests till Tuesday night while
results of 1221 more swab samples are pending. So far, 6, 65, 847 swab samples have been tested in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic out of which 84,544 have tested positive and 61, 294 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 21 from Adilabad, 44 from Bhadradri, 479 from areas under GHMC, 28 from Jagtiyal, 26 from Jangaon, 16 from Bhupalapally, 38 from Gadwal, 48 from Kamareddy, 64 from Karimnagar, 63 from Khammam, five from Komarambheem Asifabad, 41 from Mahabubnagar, 14 from Mahabubabad, 38 from Mancherial, 26 from Medak, 172 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 10 from Mulugu, 16 from Nagarkurnool, 54 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 21 from Nirmal, 23 from Nizamabad, 62 from Peddapally, 43 from Siricilla, 162 from Rangareddy, 107 from Sangareddy, 62 from Siddipet, 36 from Suryapet, 18 from Vikarabad, 26 from Wanaparthy, 24 from Warangal Rural, 87 from Warangal Urban and 11 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
